January 11 - March 9, 2019

Vernissage le 10 janvier de 18h à 21h

Opening : Jan. 10, from 6 to 9 pm

The Galerie Jérôme Pauchant is delighted to present Rover, Simon Laureyns (1979)'s  first solo exhibition in Paris from January 11 to March 9, 2019. In a painter's view and continuing his research, the artist from Ghent (BE) presents his latest works from the "Shelter Paintings" series: mural works made of used tent canvases mounted on stretcher, they are not formalists nor narrative, but free for interpretation and connected to real life.
Simon Laureyns was born in 1979 graduated from the Fine Art School of Ghent (KASK), in Belgium, where his works have been widely exhibited: Brussels and Knokke with Geukens & De Vil, Antwerp or Ghent, but also at A+B Gallery in Brescia, Gallery Noire, Milan, Italy, Tilburg, Holland or Cologne with Berthold Pott Gallery.
He is represented in France by the Galerie Jérôme Pauchant, Paris.

It's a blue one, yeah, I came home just for one day, as you were coming over. Frank is fishing. We're there out a lot, it's not far from the appartement, aproximately 40 minutes. Everything should be in the bag. That's what Frank told me.

You can go to the garage in the back of the garden, my husband is there. It's already an old one, but it's still complete. Sticks are with it too. Don't forget to close the door.

No problems to find it' Yeah, a lot of people end up on the other side of the river. They recently changed the driving directions in our street, but it's not in maps yet. Anyhow, you made it. I also have a second one which I would like to show you. Okay, no problem, I understand if you don't like the colour. If you turn left at the end of the street, then right, then right again, and at the end you take the second on the roundabout, then you should be fine. Good luck with it.

Okay, can you give me a hand' Mark put it upstairs and it's way too heavy for me. Thanks, I hope you have fun with it. Have a safe trip back.

Hello! Hello!
Oh, you are already there. Sorry, I'm on my way, I'll be there in five minutes. Hey, how are you?
Sorry again for the delay, come in please.
It belonged to my parents. But they're too old now and we don't use it. Although it's old, it is still in perfect condition.
Thanks a lot, bye.
